Dr. Kristen Shomock - Veterinarian

Kristen Shomock

Dr. Kristen Shomock attended Texas A&M University for both her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science and her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine; she also worked part-time at the veterinary teaching hospital clinical pathology laboratory during this time.

Internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and client education are some of her favorite parts of the job (other than seeing lots of cute animals of course). Dr. Shomock has early career experience working with exotic species like pocket pets and reptiles and is excited to work more with these unique animals while here at Parkside.

Dr. Shomock, and her husband Luke, moved from Texas to Colorado mid 2020 and settled in Aurora in late 2021. The animal menagerie side of the family includes: two corgis named Otter and Penny, a three-legged Corgi/Aussie mix named Ziggy, a bearded dragon named Gimli, a Hog Island Boa named Mr. Slithers, and several crested geckos. In her spare time she enjoys table-top gaming with friends, leather working, drawing, and creating bioactive habitats for the reptiles.
